Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. and its Ośrodek Badań Rozwojowych Centrum Techniki Morskiej SA will cooperate with 40 European entities in the OCEAN 2020 program. It is one of the first pan-European military research projects financed by the European Defense Fund. The aim of the project is to develop the potential of unmanned aerial vehicles and offshore and underwater platforms in recon and surveillance of sea basins.
Compared to 2016, over the past twelve months, PGZ recorded a dynamic growth of over 43% in exports. The Group has also managed to double the value of identified export projects, there currently are over 500 of such projects worldwide. The total value of these proceedings is approximately PLN 50 billion.
4 January 2018 in Wojskowe Centralne Biuro Konstrukcyjno-Technologiczne S.A. in Warsaw the Centre for Aircraft Ground Handling Equipment Supply & Service was opened. The Centre will primarily be tasked with comprehensive solutions in aircraft ground handling equipment for all types of aircraft used in Polish Armed Forces.
On Wednesday, 27 December 2017, two contracts for the construction of new ships for the Polish Navy were signed. Pursuant to these agreements a prototype RATOWNIK-class vessel will be put into service (the contract also provides for the possibility of acquiring a second vessel of this type), as well as two more KORMORAN-class mine destroyers. The total value of the contracts signed is nearly 2 billion zlotys.
