Companies belonging to Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa concluded contracts with the Armaments Inspectorate to supply ammunition for the Polish army. Zakłady Metalowe Dezamet S.A. will supply 73 mm anti-tank shells for IFV BWP-1, while Mesko S.A. 30x173 mm ammo for Rosomaks.
PG-15W shells are used by the IFV BWP-1 main cannon, namely smooth-bore low-pressure 2A28 Grom 73 mm cannon. These IFVs are used by most mechanized battalions of the Polish Army. Zakłady Metalowe Dezamet S.A. is the only domestic manufacturer of such ammunition. The PLN 236m order is for 40000 units. The delivery is to take place in 2020-2022.
30x173 APFSDS-T munition produced by Mesko S.A is designed to combat armoured targets up to 4000 m away. It is used for example in Mk44 Bushmaster II guns in APC Rosomak. The contract is for over PLN 128m, and the delivery is to take place in 2019-2022.

Agreements signed today confirm that our products are not only high quality and offer security of supply, but also meet the requirements of the army” said Sebastian Chwałek, vice president of the board of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa.
The product range of Zakłady Metalowe Dezamet S.A. includes various types of artillery, mortar and grenade launcher munitions. The company also offers civilian market product and services, including metal working. It has an accredited testing and measuring lab. The company is the recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious Defender, awarded during the International Defence Industry Fair in Kielce. Dezamet will this year celebrate its 80th anniversary.
Mesko S.A. is the largest producer of ammunition, anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles in Poland. The company produces small-caliber, medium-caliber, tank and artillery munitions, Grom, Piorun and Spike missile sets, and Feniks and NLPR 70 missiles.
In November 2019, Mesko S.A. received a capital injection of PLN 400 million for investments at plants
in Pionki and Skarżysko-Kamienna as part of the implementation of the investment agreement with the State Treasury, which will strengthen the strategic competence of the Polish Armaments Group in the production of gunpowder, ammunition and rockets.
