PG-15W shells are used by the IFV BWP-1 main cannon, namely smooth-bore low-pressure 2A28 Grom 73 mm cannon. These IFVs are used by most mechanized battalions of the Polish Army. Zakłady Metalowe Dezamet S.A. is the only domestic manufacturer of such ammunition. The PLN 236m order is for 40000 units. The delivery is to take place in 2020-2022.

In November 2019, Mesko S.A. received a capital injection of PLN 400 million for investments at plants

in Pionki and Skarżysko-Kamienna as part of the implementation of the investment agreement with the State Treasury, which will strengthen the strategic competence of the Polish Armaments Group in the production of gunpowder, ammunition and rockets.
