Polish Army increases orders for night-vision equipment from PCO

Polish Army increases orders for night-vision equipment from PCO 24.10.2019

PCO has received another order from the Arms Inspectorate for the supply of night-vision equipment. Deliveries of optoelectronic devices worth nearly 96 million PLN will be taking place in 2019 and 2020.

We are prepared to fulfil even the most complex obligations towards the Polish Armed Forces. PCO S.A. has state-of-the-art technology, highly qualified personnel, and innovative solutions at its disposal. PCO produces high quality hardware which is appreciated by users in Poland and abroad. We stress development and invest the funds obtained. We are ready to fulfil more contracts,” says Sebastian Chwałek, vice-president of the board of PGZ S.A.

The contract signed pertains to 128 sets of MU-3 night-vision goggles, 554 sets of MU-3AM night-vision goggles, and 655 sets of miniaturised MU-3ADM night-vision goggles. The MU-3 and MU-3AM are state-of-the-art night-vision devices designed for night-time surveillance by individual users.

The MU-3AM is currently one of the lightest devices of this type available in the market. It is already being used by the Polish Armed Forces. It can be mounted on the combat helmet, dedicated head harness, or on the firearm thanks to Picattiny rail.

The MU-3ADM goggles are characterised by compact, exceedingly light construction, robustness, and reliability in field conditions, as well as excelled detection, recognition, and identification parameters.

This contract is yet another order for the supply of optoelectronic equipment for individual soldiers. It is the best confirmation of the fact that the products developed by PCO S.A. are some of the most modern solutions of this class available in the market and meet the highest requirements of modern battlefields,” says Paweł Glica, president of the board of PCO S.A.

In April 2019, during the first day of the International Defence Industry Salon in Kielce, PCO received an order to deliver optoelectronic equipment for the Polish Armed Forces worth more than 50 million PLN gross.
