Since Monday, 16 April, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, together with the Ministry of National Defence, has participated in the DSA 2018 fair in Kuala Lumpur, where it presents its product range for Asian markets. Defense Services Asia is a prestigious event that provides a platform for building and developing business contacts for the Polish arms industry in one of the most important regions of the world.
Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, together with the Ministry of National Defence and in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presents a wide range of products targeted at the markets of East Asia and South-East Asia. The activities of the PGZ Group are supported by the Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence, Sebastian Chwałek, and the President of the Management Board of PGZ S.A., Dr. Jakub Skiba.
"DSA Fair is an excellent opportunity to hold high level talks with delegations from Southeast Asia and beyond. Together with our Ministry of National Defence, we are engaged in dialogue with Vietnam, Indonesia and Bangladesh, among others. The countries of this Asian region are showing great interest in our radar and anti-aircraft systems, equipment for military engineers and personal equipment for soldiers, including optoelectronics and observation solutions. In order to expand there, we are intensively looking for opportunities to establish long-term partnerships, which will allow us to establish permanent representative offices, as well as to transfer technology and production capacity," said PGZ President Dr. Jakub Skiba after the official inauguration of the fair.
In Kuala Lumpur, the PGZ Group promotes, among others, 155 mm Krab gun-howitzers and 120 mm Rak self-propelled mortars manufactured by Huta Stalowa Wola, and KTO Rosomak - equipped with a 30 mm HITFIST turret system. The Polish defence industry brought with it also a wide range of products constituting individual equipment of a soldier. At the PGZ stand you will find, among other things a family of Grot rifles 5.56 x 45 mm and 7.62 x 39 mm, manufactured in Fabryka Broni Łucznik in Radom; sniper rifles Alex and SKW-338, as well as RPG-40 grenade launchers from Zakłady Mechaniczne Tarnów; a wide range of 40 x 46 mm and 40 x 53 mm grenades from Dezamet and elements of ballistic protection from Maskpol. PCO, responsible for the development of optoelectronic products, presents the optoelectronic and observation systems, while Mesko presents the ammunition and Grom anti-aircraft systems.
The Defense Services Asia (DSA) Exhibition & Conference 2018, held from 16 to 19 April in Kuala Lumpur, is the largest military event in the Asia region and has been held continuously since 1988. The latest edition of the event was attended by more than 1,500 companies from 60 countries, including major companies from the United States, Europe and Asia.
