On 17 February 2017 a meeting was held at the offices of PGZ S.A. in Warsaw between the Board of Directors of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa, headed by the President of PGZ S.A. Mr Błażej Wojnicz, and the President of RAYTHEON Company, Mr Thomas A. Kennedy.
During the meeting the parties confirmed their will to work together on the performance of the WISŁA programme included in the Technical Modernisation Plan of the Polish Armed Forces, which is of strategic importance for the Polish Armed Forces. Mr Kennedy confirmed his will to establish in Poland full capacities for independent servicing and maintenance of the PATRIOT system during its life cycle, which RAYTHEON is to supply for the WISŁA programme under the FMS procedure, should this system be selected by the Ministry of National Defence. Furthermore, the parties adopted the timetable for preparing the documents required by the offset procedures.
One example of the current co-operation of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and RAYTHEON is the technologically advanced contract for the supply of the IFF system antennas for the PATRIOT system, which is being successfully performed by PIT-RADWAR S.A., a company owned by Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa.
